Rhys had another scan yesterday (Thursday) to check on how the fungal infection was going. We’re still waiting to hear from the consultant about this properly. We do know that it wasn’t causing his temperatures.
So because of this and his line infection, last night between 6:45pm and just after 9 Rhys went down to theatre and had his Hickman line removed, a cannula inserted into his hand on one side of his body and a peripheral line inserted near his ankle on the other side. As you can imagine he’s not at all happy about this.
Its proving awkward to move around and do things with the drips attached and so Tracey and Rhys had a bit of a rough night.
Hi Rhys,
At least I get my cannula taken out after two hours of infusion. Although last time it took 5 goes to get it in (I thought the sister was practising for her darts match that night), I thought of you, Matty thinks your very brave as he didn’t like it one bit when he had his cannula.
Lots of Love
Steve, Kate, Ben and Matty.

Hi Rhys,
Uncle Glyn told us about your blog so we thought we’d drop you a quick line.
Sounds like you’re havin fun! I went to the dentist this week and didn’t even like having my teeth cleaned! I think it’s safe to say you’re much braver than me. Still, Olivia got her own back by biting the dentist’s finger.
Auntie Babs tells me you like Doctor Who. Sad fact about me (so keep it secret) is that I’ve got on video and cd every episode ever made (including the proper Doctors like John Pertwee and Tom Baker). Next time you’re at Auntie Babs’s you’ll have to ask her to see some of them; much better than David Tennent!
Anyway, bed time for me (gone 10 o’clock) so bye for now,
Lots of love,
Keith, Catherine & Olivia.

Hiyer Smiler,
Are you up for that bacon sandwich yet??
OK then, heres another clean joke…..
Some racehorses were talking in their stables one day when the first horse said “In my last seven races I’ve won four and had two seconds.
“So what?” said the second horse, “I’ve run fifteen races and won eleven of them.”
“Pah” said the third horse “I’ve run 32 races and won 27″
Just then they all realised that a greyhound had been sitting by the stable door listening to all their boasting.
“Well” said the greyhound “that’s nothing, I’ve run 86 races and won 82 of them”
“That’s amazing” said the first horse.
“Wow” replied the second horse “Look, it’s a talking greyhound!!”
New riddle :- What’s got a big head and is red on top? Ask Ryan – he scored a 231 game with a 572 series last tueday night in our four man team!
